  1. Through zeal, knowledge is gotten; through,lack of zeal, knowledge is lost.
  2. Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
  3. No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.
  4. An outside enemy exists only if there is anger inside.

But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
  15. To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent.
  16. The ignorant man is an ox. He grows in size, not in wisdom.
  17. Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.

The teacher of gods and men declared that being satisfied was the greatest of all riches. Remain Satisfied always. One knowing satisfaction is Truly wealth, even without material possessions.
